Term 4 in 1/2B is in Full Swing!
John Hannah House
The first week back of Term 4 and we sure hit the ground running. 1/2B made our way to John Hannah House on Tuesday afternoon. The students were full of energy and enthusiasm and keen to meet the residents. We did some drawings & portraits as well as played ‘would you rather’ discussion games. It was a busy afternoon! The students were super kind and caring in the way they engaged & interacted with the residents!

Maths - Location
In our recent unit of Location we worked with a partner to create a map from models. We had to think about carefully positioning the different items on our map, using accurate sizes and spacing to fit everything in and matching the symbols in the key or legend for the map. In addition to this we had to think about listening to our partner for their ideas, as well as taking turns.

RE - Creation
This term we are exploring the story of creation. We recently read about, recalled and sequenced the story. We wrote a sentence in our own words for each of the seven days. Later in the term we will be exploring the ways we can be stewards of creation.

Class Mass for appreciation of Teachers
We have been waiting all year for it and at the end of Week one, we were able to celebrate our class mass. The theme of our mass was to celebrate the work of our amazing teachers at SJV and around the world. We had a delicious morning tea with many of our families. The whole experience from the readings to the reflection and the morning tea afterwards was worth the wait!
