Bilingual Soccer World Cup
La Copa del Mundo Bilingue
The excitement is building. There are just two weeks left until the first-ever Bilingual Soccer World Cup!
On Friday 7th November, from 9:30am-2:00pm, students from bilingual schools across Victoria will come together at the Darebin International Sports Centre for a day celebrating sport, culture and language.
Teams have now been finalised—thank you to all the students who tried out and showed such great enthusiasm! Your energy and teamwork made the selection process an absolute joy.
A huge thank you to all the parents who have already offered their help for the day. These events wouldn’t be possible without your amazing support!
We are still looking for more parent volunteers, so if you’re available on the day, even if your child isn’t in Grades 5 or 6, we’d love to have you involved. Whether you’re helping with supervision, scoring, or just cheering from the sidelines, your presence will make a big difference.
If you’re a soccer fan and would like to be part of this incredible event, please send me a message via Sentral.
The Bilingual Soccer World Cup is more than just a competition. It’s a celebration of diversity, teamwork, and language learning. Each school will proudly represent its target language, showing how sport can unite communities while promoting cultural understanding.
We have even been featured in SBS Español! Here’s the link to know a bit more about the event:
