Art Show Thank You!
Thank you so much for attending the Newlands PS' 2026 Art Show!
What an amazing show of support from our wonderful Newlands Primary School community.
Your attendance and enthusiasm greatly contributed to the excitement and positive energy of the night. It was lovely to see families with multiple generations engaging in the interactive activities and exploring the multiple galleries displayed throughout the school.
Please note that all proceeds from the event will go towards purchasing and installing a kiln for the Art Room, as well as a clay sink. Overall, the event successfully raised a total of $10,000, what an incredible achievement! Thank you again for your attendance and support. Keep an eye out next year, as students will have even more opportunities for clay-building lessons, with the upper year levels exploring the use of glazes.
Finally, none of this would have been possible without the outstanding teachers, parents, and students of Newlands Primary School. From framing artwork to baking and sourcing cakes and tarts, organising activities, creating art and offering kind words of encouragement, every contribution made this event achievable. It was a momentous task and I feel privileged to work alongside such truly brilliant people who continuously inspire me to extend myself.
I was genuinely blessed to have an amazing team helping to set up the Art Show. A massive shout-out goes to the unflappable and incredibly talented Lizzie Howard, who has been my rock throughout this journey. A huge thank you also goes to Luisa, Steph, Raema, Juliana and Trish, who worked tirelessly to get all the artworks gallery-ready and handled plenty of heavy lifting along the way.
