Term 4, Week 4

Diwali Day
On Friday 17th of October, we celebrated Diwali Day in our classroom. We learned about Diwali and how it is an important celebration for some of our students and their families. Together, we explored the meaning of Diyas—small lamps that represent light overcoming darkness and the spreading of joy and kindness. Students painted their own Diyas to take home as a reminder of what we learned and to celebrate the spirit of Diwali. We loved learning about this special tradition and the importance of sharing and respecting different cultures within our classroom community.

Grandparents & Special Friends Day
Thank you to our special family members who were able to join us for Grandparents and Special Friends Day. We loved showing you our classroom and spending time together completing activities.

Fire Safety Visits
Over the last fortnight we have had both of our Fire Safety visits. We learnt about good fire and bad fire, to crawl low in smoke, what a safe meeting place is, what an emergency is and when to call 000 (Triple Zero). We were even lucky enough to see a firetruck and spray the hose!
Please complete this voluntary survey about our recent fire visits.

Swimming forms
A reminder to return your child's swimming form to their classroom teacher if you haven't already.
Be Awesome Day
Be Awesome Day is tomorrow! We would love to see as many families as possible. If you are around and are able to volunteer your time to support the Prep stalls please come and see us. This will include supervising/running the stall during your time slot. Your help and your time is greatly appreciated, as the teachers will be required to support the students on the day.
Thank you to all families for your donations to support our three activities.
