District Athletics
Congratulations to Savannah and Cooper, who represented Bathurst Small Schools at the District Athletics Carnival. Both Savannah and Cooper achieved a personal best in their events! Staff and students at Rockley PS are extremely proud of your efforts.
Canberra Excursion
Our Stage 3 students will be departing for Canberra on the 8th of September at 6.30am and will enjoy; the National Film & Sound Archives, Australian War Memorial, Lunch, Parliamentary Education Office, Parliament House Guided Tour (students to wear school uniform), Parliament Question Time, Alivio Tourist Park Accommodation, Dinner Free Time, Mount Ainslie Lookout, Questacon, Lunch Australian Institute of Sport before arriving back at the court house on Wednesday the 9th of September at 6.30pm.
We hope they will enjoy this experience and gain some new insights.
R U OK? Day
R U OK? Day is on Thursday the 10th of September this year. hroughout the day we will have discussions centering around compassion, friendship and empathy.
Book Week Celebrations
What a wonderful morning we shared celebrating Book Week! Our students proudly paraded in their creative costumes, bringing many favourite book characters to life. It was also lovely to welcome our Playgroup children and families, who joined in the excitement and helped make the morning even more special.
Following the parade, everyone enjoyed a range of engaging activities, including a book-themed craft and scavenger hunt. The celebrations concluded with a delicious sausage sizzle, providing a lovely opportunity for students, families and staff to connect.
A very special thank you to Mrs Watson, our fabulous Book Week coordinator, for her creativity, enthusiasm and careful organisation. Her efforts ensured the morning was a memorable celebration of books, imagination and our wonderful school community.
Rockley 175 year Celebrations
We look forward to Rockley's 175th celebrations.
Our school will be at the markets on Sunday 13th September with students presenting a poem. Our beautiful photography and artworks of the Rockley community will be on display and painting stations will be set up for children to enjoy.
