Principal's Message

Dear families,

We have now passed the midpoint of Term 3, and our classrooms continue to be focused, engaging and full of positive energy. As teaching and learning programs continue to build each day, regular attendance remains essential. When students are well, it is important that they attend school so they do not miss valuable learning and opportunities to connect with their classmates.

P&C

This week, our P&C Association made a significant and incredibly generous donation to our school. These funds will cover an additional week of intensive swimming instruction for all students at the end of this and next term and contribute to upgrading our students’ laptops.

I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our President/Treasurer, Kathy Richards, and Secretarty, Natalie Clarke, for the countless hours they have contributed to ensuring the P&C has operated successfully over the past several years. A heartfelt thank you is also extended to all past and present P&C members whose time, commitment and generosity have made such a positive difference for our students and school.

Swim School

Rockley Public School will partner with Sofala Public School to participate in a week-long swimming intensive program at Cityfit. This program will build on the skills students developed during Term 2 and provide further opportunities to strengthen their confidence, swimming technique and water safety skills.

Students will be grouped according to their current swimming ability, allowing instruction to be targeted to their individual needs. Sessions will run from 11.30 am to 12.15 pm and 12.30 pm to 1.15 pm.

Thanks to the generosity of the Rockley Public School P&C Association, the full cost of transport and swimming lessons will be covered. This ensures every student can participate in this valuable learning opportunity at no cost to families.

Student Code of Conduct

We continue to emphasise our school’s core values of safety, respect and responsibility. Included in this newsletter is a copy of the NSW Department of Education’s Student Code of Conduct, which will be implemented across all NSW public schools in 2027.

Understanding these expectations is important in supporting our students to learn and thrive in a safe, positive and respectful environment. We encourage families to review the document and discuss its expectations with their children.
