Principal's Report

Swimming Sports

Our House Swimming Sports are next week, Wednesday 11th February. All students are expected at school on this day, even if they aren’t participating in any swimming events. They can still earn points for their house in many other ways, such as wearing house colours and adding to the team spirit. Family members are most welcome to attend and are asked to sign in at the announcer’s table on arrival. If you would like to volunteer to help on the day, please contact Vicky Levesque at school by Monday morning.

Welcome BBQ

A reminder that RSVPs are due today (Friday) for our BBQ, next Tuesday 10th February. All families are invited to attend this opportunity to get to know your teachers and enjoy a BBQ dinner, in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

School Council

The last meeting of the current School Council is being held in Week 4, on Wednesday 18th February. A number of positions will become available, so please consider if this is something that you might be interested in.

Child Safety

While we live in a small community, we must remember that not all our staff or students are familiar with a family member by sight or name. We also have students with a range of additional learning complexities, where unfamiliar people add to congestion in the corridors, making it extremely difficult for them to navigate.

As such, we remind all visitors to our school to go straight to the office, and enter through the front entrance only. From there, we can then send for students, deliver things or messages to them, without disrupting the flow of the day.
