UNDERSTANDING EMOTIONS

Identifying and understanding emotions is an essential skill for Kinder children.  It supports self regulation and interactions with friends and family.  This week in Correa, we began our exploration of emotions, what they look like and how they feel.  The children drew pictures of 'what makes them happy'.  Answers included;

• going to a party

• playing with my sister and brother

• when I'm riding a bike

• kissing my mummy

• eating ice-cream

• playing with my toys

Next we will introduce the zones of regulation and strategies to support our emotions.
