Prep to Grade 2:

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

As we come to the end of the school year, we would like to take a moment to reflect on what has been a year of growth, learning, and resilience for our Prep–Year 2 students.

Throughout the year, the children have worked hard to develop their independence, confidence, and learning skills. We have seen wonderful progress in literacy and numeracy, growing social connections, and an increased ability to follow routines and work collaboratively. Each child has achieved success in their own way, and it has been a pleasure to watch them grow.

This year has also been about building strong relationships — with peers, teachers, and the wider school community. The children have learned important skills such as sharing, problem-solving, emotional regulation, and persistence, which will continue to support them as they move into the next stage of their learning.

In 2025, students in the Junior Module at Waverley Meadows Primary School also enjoyed a wide range of enriching experiences that supported learning, wellbeing, and connection. These included the Colour Fun Run, Maths Talent Quest (MTQ), Mont De Lancey excursion, science incursions, Swim World swimming lessons, discos, class parties, movies, Carols on the Hill and so much more. These experiences helped create lasting memories and provided valuable opportunities for students to learn beyond the classroom.

Thank you for your ongoing support, communication, and partnership throughout the year. Your encouragement at home has played an important role in your child’s progress and wellbeing.

We are very proud of everything the children have accomplished and look forward to seeing them continue to thrive next year. We wish you and your family a safe, restful, and happy holiday break.
