At Skye Primary School, we believe that positive behaviour and wellbeing are learned skills, just like reading, writing and mathematics. To support this, we have clear, consistent School-Wide Expected Behaviours that guide how we learn, play and interact with others every day.
Our 10 expected behaviours sit under our school's 4 key values of
Respect, Responsibility, Resilience and Relationships.

These behaviours are explicitly taught to all students at the start of the year and revisited regularly through classroom lessons, whole-school discussions and ongoing support as needed. This ensures students clearly understand what positive behaviour looks like, sounds like and feels like in different situations across the school.
Having clear and shared expectations helps students feel safe, supported and confident. It also allows staff to respond consistently and fairly, creating a calm and predictable learning environment where all children can thrive.
These expected behaviours also form the foundation of our Dojo positive acknowledgement system, where students are recognised and celebrated for demonstrating these behaviours in their everyday actions.
We value strong partnerships with families and encourage you to talk with your child about our expected behaviours, what they look like at school, and how they can be practised at home as well. Together, by teaching and reinforcing social and emotional skills, we help our students develop the tools they need to succeed, both at school and beyond.
