Advent Liturgies and End of Year Graduation Mass
Our Advent liturgies have had the themes of hope, peace and joy over the last 3 weeks. In the last week of Advent the 4th Advent candle is lit with the theme of love. As we draw close to the celebration of Christmas may we pay particular attention to love those who have been placed in our care.
Fr Aurelio Fragapane, our new priest for St Mary's Parish officially began in the parish last Wed. Thursday we had our End of Year School Mass. We sang farewell to our Yr 6 students with an African Blessing song. We also welcomed our new Foundation students and their families, with each child receiving a St Mary's school hat.

Christmas blessings to all.
As we busily head towards Christmas, I want to share with you some words and prayer from the Nativity play that our F/1/2 class shared with us so beautifully on Monday:
"Sometimes one of the most challenging things for us to do is to learn to find God in our lives every day. The Shepherds remind us about special messages arriving during ordinary tasks of our day.
Let us pray that Jesus will come more deeply into our lives and that we will be aware of his presence.
Into our lives, we pray . . . Come, Lord Jesus!
Into our troubled world, we pray . . . Come, Lord Jesus!
Into our baking, shopping, and gift wrapping, we pray . . . Come, Lord Jesus!
Into our hearts as we care for those in need, we pray . . . Come, Lord Jesus!
Into our homes, we pray . . . Come, Lord Jesus! "
With the events in our country in the last few days, we especially pray all families who have lots loved ones at this time. May the light of Christ who comes to us us as a tiny babe in the darkness of the night, carry our dreams of hope and peace into the world.
