Immersive space
The planning for our P&C funded ‘Immersive Space’ continues to push forward and I would like to thank the P&C for their continued support and willingness to get our students involved in the project. Last week, all students got to vote on a piece of equipment to be included in the design.
A mud kitchen came out the winner of the vote and I look forward to sharing with you more details about the design as we continue to work with the P&C. It is very exciting!
Parent/Carer Teacher Interviews
A reminder to please book in a time to speak with your child’s classroom teacher if you haven’t already. Bookings close on Wednesday.
Band Camp
This weekend we have our annual school Band Camp. Our band committee put so much hard work into the weekend and I’m always so impressed to see how much the children improve over the 2 days. I’m looking forward to seeing the concert on Sunday afternoon!
Easter Hat Parade
All parents and carers are invited, welcome and encouraged to come to our Easter Hat Parade on Thursday 28th March starting at 2:15pm under the COLA. It is always a wonderful whole school event, and the students particularly enjoy making the hats at school with their buddies.
Leave
Finally, I would like to let the community know that I will be taking long service leave from Thursday 28th March until the end of term 2. During my leave, Mrs Belinda Hall will be relieving as Principal. Mrs Hall knows the school intricately and has done a great job when relieving for me in the past. I know that the school will continue to progress forward under her leadership in the time that I am not here.
After 3 years of hard work, it is certainly nice to be able to enter this period of leave with full confidence in the leadership team. I am still around for another 2 weeks so I'm sure I will see you around.
I look forward to seeing you all at the start of Term 3.
