News from Foundation

Welcome back!!! Welcome back for a new term! The Foundations have settled back really well into the term already! They have been so resilient, respectful and responsible! We are super proud of them!

Maths is a wonderful thing

This week in maths we have been focusing on matching numbers with their numeral and their quantity. In maths this week we have also learnt about 'Positional Language'. We have been using words like- above, below, in between, next to, in front of, and behind to describe the position of objects. We have been doing activities like giving our partner an instruction of where to put an item, played Simon Says and followed an instruction to draw a picture.

Classroom Fun

This term in the classroom we have set up some more fun in the classroom! This term we have an Aquarium, a Farm, Fairy Garden, Puzzles and Bunnings Warehouse with a sausage sizzle. There is also a few numeracy and literacy activities that also promote fine motor skills.

Writing

To start off our week at school we thought we would draw and write about our school holidays! Looks like everyone had lots of fun!!
