A Message from the Principal

Mrs Pauline Long

Dear Parents and Carers,

Annual Improvement Plan (AIP)

Last week I presented our AIP to both the School Advisory Council and our PT & F. Every year we reflect on how we are going as a school and focus on providing the best possible education for your children.  The plan can be accessed through this link - AIP

We strive to support your child’s engagement and wellbeing.

Engagement includes motivation to learn and persistence to achieve. Emotional engagement is key as students need to feel connected to their peers and staff as well as their learning.

Wellbeing is about helping students become the best version of themselves by fostering a positive attitude, resilience and personal satisfaction from achieving learning goals.

We acknowledge the important role parents/carers play in your child’s education and encourage you to become actively involved. This involvement can be as simple as asking your child about their school day?

What did you enjoy the most about school today?

What kind act will you do for one of your classmates this week?

What learning are you proud of ?

Do you need help with any of your learning?

How are your learning goals going?

Kindness Corner

I have been noticing many kind students applying our Living Well Learning Well Rules for Living in the playground. Congratulations to Lily Brown, Alex Davis, Luca Stubbs & Zarabelle Bhardwaj for your kindness to other students.

Save the Date

Plans are underway for our whole school play “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”. I am currently working on the script and applying for a grant to cover our major costs. Please put the date for our evening performance in your diary Thursday 5th September. Auditions for major roles will be held in the last week of this term.

Easter

The Easter break for students commences this Friday 29th March and concludes on Tuesday 2nd April. Students return to school WEDNESDAY 3rd April.

Have a wonderful Easter and travel safely.
