Foundation students have been exploring the world of art through the lens of Paul Klee's inspiring work. They've connected visual art with literature, expressing their own ideas using Line, Shape, and Colour. They've confidently applied paint with various tools and mastered collage skills for detail. Now, they're able to express their preferences in art, like enjoying bright colours. Thank you for encouraging their artistic journey
Our artists in Grade 1/2 have been discovering their creativity through an exploration of artist Wassily Kandinsky's work. Drawing inspiration from Kandinsky's art, the students have been busy creating their own vibrant artworks using oil pastels. With a focus on art elements such as shape, texture, colour, pattern, and the principle of concentricity, they have been experimenting with the medium of oil pastels on paper to bring their imaginative visions to life. Students are also expanding their vocabulary, with key terms such as shape, texture, colour, pattern, and concentricity becoming a part of their conversations.
Our students in Grades 3-6 are exploring the mesmerising art of Gustav Klimt. They're learning to observe and apply art elements like Line, Shape, and Colour. Using various tools and materials, they're creating different effects and mastering new techniques. Inspired by Klimt's decorative style and use of patterns, they're delving into Art Nouveau and the Vienna Secession. Their interpretations look stunning!
