We are excited to be continuing our research and design for our pond/frog bog ecosystem.

Years 5/6 visit Edendale Farm for a full day excursion focussing on water science. They learnt how to test water quality, water bug identification, contaminants of our local waterways and how to establish a frog habitat.

They will build on this knowledge as we begin to establish our very own freshwater ecosystem.

Year 1 and 2 are also learning about the pond and enjoyed an incursion about frogs with Peter from Darebin Creek Management Committee. They particularly enjoyed listening to the different sounds local frog species make. Hopefully in time we will hear many of those sounds in our ecosystem.
