Good Friday

The next day Jesus is arrested. He is taken to the High Priest's house. He was found guilty  and sentenced to death. The soldiers took Him inside the courtyard of the governor's palace, put a purple robe on Him, made a crown out of thorny branches and put it on his head. They spat on Jesus, hit him over the head with a stick and they blindfolded him. When they finished mocking him, they took off the purple robe, put his own clothes on and lead him out to crucify him.

They led him to a place called Golgotha, which means "The place of the Skull". They crucified him and divided his clothes among themselves. It was 9 o'clock in the morning.

At noon the whole country was covered in darkness which lasted 3 hours.

At three o'clock Jesus cried out with a loud shout, "My God, my God, why did you abandon me?"
