This fortnight's Spotlight is on....
Year 1 has had a great start to the year! We’ve been busy writing our own narratives, travelling through the past and future, and learning what it means to be a good friend like Jesus. The children have settled beautifully back into school routines and are showing great enthusiasm for every new activity.
In maths, we’ve been exploring how to measure and compare lengths using informal objects. The students have loved getting hands‑on, experimenting during our lessons. The pictures capture us calculating and comparing length using informal objects (blocks and our shoes!).
We are so excited to see everything this amazing class will achieve as the year unfolds.

Our Year 2 students have made a wonderful start to the year and have settled into classroom routines with confidence and enthusiasm. In Writing, we have begun exploring circular narratives, learning how stories can end where they began, and we are also practising compound sentences to help students add detail and connect their ideas more effectively.
In Mathematics, the children are diving into the world of 2D and 3D shapes, identifying their features, sorting them into groups, and exploring where we see these shapes in the real world.
It’s been a positive start to the year, and we are looking forward to a fun, and productive year of learning together!
