Chaplaincy at The Gap
Every term during Week 5 we have our Chappy pancake breakfast. Pancake breakfasts provide students and staff with the opportunity to have breakfast with friends and colleagues and to belong as part of the community. It is so much fun to see our community gathered over a meal, to play games and to chat. Whether you come for the food, the music, or just to see what it’s all about, you’ll soon realise it is a place where everyone belongs.
We also have our weekly Toasted program on Thursday mornings from 8- 8.40am where students are invited to come and have some toast, juice or cereal. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and is a great way to empower young minds to learn throughout the school day.
These Breakfast programs are one of the many ways Chaplaincy helps build a caring, connected community. Beyond events like this, I also spend time supporting students through everyday challenges and significant life moments alike. I work to build relationships with teachers and students to help strengthen the emotional and social well-being of our school family. It is a joy to invest in our students’ character, resilience, and sense of belonging—and I look forward to sharing breakfast with you.

TERM 1
QUT Future You Summit.
The Summit is a real-world pathway experience where motivated Year 11–12 students spend four days on campus working with academics and industry mentors to explore study and career options. Students take part in hands-on activities, team challenges, and guided reflection, helping them connect their strengths and interests to real study and career pathways. Teachers tell us it’s especially valuable for students who are curious, high-achieving, or still unsure about their next step. Students return more confident, informed, and ready to make decisions about senior subjects and post-school options. Places are limited and selection is competitive, so we encourage students to apply early.
Applications Open: Monday 2 March
Summit program: Tuesday 30 June - Friday 3 July 2026
