NAPLAN

2026 NAPLAN Preparation

Thank you to the Year 7 and 9 students who approached the NAPLAN practice tests in a prepared and conscientious manner. The practice tests provided valuable experience with the platform and allowed students to complete necessary device checks before the official testing period.

As we approach the 2026 NAPLAN testing period, it is essential that every student is thoroughly organised. Students must attend their scheduled test session with a fully charged device, the 2026 NAP Locked Down Browser (LDB) correctly installed and tested, and plug-in headphones or fully charged and paired wireless headphones.

Being properly prepared will help students avoid unnecessary stress and enable them to perform at their very best. Students are strongly encouraged to use their own device, as familiarity with the keyboard, settings and functionality can positively support performance.

As we approach the testing period, all test times and any room changes will be available on Compass. Students must check their individual test times and room allocations on Compass regularly throughout the testing period, in addition to monitoring any room changes affecting their usual classes.

The NAPLAN testing window will run from Wednesday 11 March (Week 6) to Monday 23 March (Week 8). Catch-up tests will be available for students who are absent on their scheduled test day, up to and including Monday, 23 March.

Please ensure your child(ren) are using the Education Perfect program to hone literacy skills. Additionally, encourage your child to visit the NAPLAN Online Public Demonstration Site at https://nap.edu.au/online-assessment/public-demonstration-site to see the types of questions and related functionalities in the NAPLAN Online assessment.
