Performing Arts

As part of acknowledging NAIDOC Week, in Performing Arts classes students have been listening to and learning about music by Australian Indigenous artists.  In senior classes, Grade 5 and 6 students have been playing untuned percussion to the beats of Inkabee's 'Beat the Odds' and Grade 3 and 4 students have been learning the song Inanay. In junior classes, students have been learning the dance to Seseeye - a Torres Strait Islander song about the Kingfisher, which was fantastic to see performed together at junior assembly (See video below).

Throughout term 3, senior classes will predominantly be learning and playing ukulele's, while junior classes will be learning to play marimbas.
