NSW Secondary Schools 7s Rugby Gala Day

Last Wednesday, O'Connor was represented by 4 boys teams and 2 girls teams that combined with PLC to participate in the NSW Secondary Schools 7s Gala Day. The games were played in trying conditions with each team playing approximately 5 games on wet muddy fields where the players also had to endure pouring rain. This is where real resilience is built and the majority of students took it in their stride.

A big congratulations to the Yr 11 & 12 boys who won their division of the NW Rugby 7's. A great final game of footy for some of our Yr 12's. 

A huge thanks must go to the water logged crew of student coaches (U18s girls players) Claire Richey, Emily Grieve and Sophie Mitchell and then to Ms Mellowship, Mr Osbourne (aka Super Drum), Jon Hawthorne, Mark Honeysett  & supersub Tully Langenbaker who also had to endure atrocious conditions all day!
