We've had a great time getting the library all dressed up for Book Week! Displays feature ideas from my Year 6 library helpers including the amazing Harry Potter broomstick which Cassius made over the holidays for the display, thank you Cassius! Thank you also to the Year 6 helpers for cutting up books and gluing our hot air balloons together and to Stage 2 students for colouring the bunting for window displays.
Next newsletter I'm sure we'll have lots of great pics and stories from the Book Week celebrations happening this Friday!
This is the last term to complete the Premier's Reading Challenge, which closes on Friday 19 September. Please complete reading records on the website prior to this date. Students who would like me to complete records for them need to speak to me during library time or during library lunch breaks BEFORE September so I can find time to go through the reading records with them. I am very happy to do this but it does take about 10 minutes per student.
Congratulations to the students being celebrated in our library window who have already completed the challenge!
The library has a long-established tradition of sending The Stroogle out on adventures with students who report back through a journal. Here are entries from Tilly B and Bella L.
