Learning and Teaching Update

'We aim to provide a school environment where ‘Every person can flourish and be known’ This means that our teaching program identifies the unique needs of each individual student, and delivers a learning program designed to grow them into the best person that they can be'.

Dear Parents

Term 3 is always a special time at St. Anthony's, filled with fantastic teaching and learning opportunities for our students. It's a time when we see our students grow in confidence and knowledge as they prepare for the second half of the school year.

This term, however, is even more special. We are thrilled to announce that preparations are in full swing for our upcoming school production: Seussical the Musical!

We've already started the exciting process of casting, rehearsing, and building sets and creating costumes. It's been wonderful to see our students' enthusiasm and talent shine through as they bring the beloved characters of Dr. Seuss to life.

We have also recently shared the NAPLAN reports for our Year 3 and Year 5 students. We are so proud of our students and their achievements this year. We are excited to announce that this year's Year 3 students have achieved the best results in Reading, Numeracy, Spelling, and Grammar & Punctuation in the last three years! Our Year 5 students have shown immense growth from 2023 to 2025. The percentage of students achieving ‘strong’ and ‘exceeding’ has grown significantly in Numeracy, Spelling, Grammar & Punctuation and Writing between 2023(when the current Year 5s were in Year 3) and 2025. This incredible accomplishment is a testament to the students' efforts, the support of their families, and the outstanding teaching and guidance from our teachers. Congratulations and well done to all.

As always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Kind regards
