Ms Gioia's Retiring

Dear Community,

Our lovely Ms Angela Gioia will be finsihing up her long career in Education at the end of this term. Ms Gioia has been at PVNPS since 2009 and has taught many, many students and families over this time in different grade levels across the school from prep-4.

Please ensure that you catch up with Ms Gioia before she says goodbye on the very last day of the term. Thank you Ms Gioia for all your contributions to PVNPS!

House Teams

We had an awesome afternoon on Wednesday which was planned by our School House captains and leaders under the supervision of Ms Ansons and Dimi. The afternoon was great filled with mixed year levels altogether in their colour house for some fun activities.

This is true community spirit and we want to see on a daily basis -  getting along and working together.

We are certain that there will be more of these events across the year for our school to come together.

Thanks to the families who assisted by sending their stduents to school in their colours!

Indigenous garden

Thank you to Mr Gagliardi for applying for the CUST grant to develop an indigenous garden at our school. Thanks also goes to YOU all for our fundraising efforts because our School council are also contributing another $4,000 towards the final product.

This garden space will be out of bounds for the rest of this term to ensure the plants have time to love their new environment.

Teachers will be taking their class out to the yarning circle for a lesson early next term to set some expectations around this space and that the walking path is the only place they can walk.

Name the Garden

I would like to seek community input into naming our new indigenous garden.

Please send in some ideas via an email to me or hand me the details with the ideas and the meaning behind the idea. Write the student name and class.

I would like these ideas by the 21st June, as then we will be shortlisting them and sending out a whole school voting poll to select the preferred one.

FAMILY DETAILS

Thank you to the families who have returned their paperwork to update any details such as; address, phone numbers and especially emergency contact numbers. It is important to also update your employment information and the main language spoken at home. This information helps to acquire funding for our school to provide further resources to assist our teaching and learning.

It is expected that everyone will return these forms and if not change is necessary, then just return it and state ' no changes' on it.
