AN INCREDIBLE MAN
On Tuesday 16th April, Isabella and I had the honour of attending the state funeral of Leslie Twentyman OAM on behalf of Brighton Secondary College.
The service was a beautiful celebration of his life, and the immeasurable impact he has had on the state of Victoria, the service was heartfelt and inspiring a true testament to Les’s generosity, care and compassion. We are grateful to have joined together with the community to celebrate the life of such an incredible man.
We wanted to share a renowned quote of his: “if you’re not a part of the solution then you’re definitely a part of the problem. Communities and societies fall apart when good people do nothing”.
As you may recall we worked with his foundation last year with our school supplies drive for the Back-to-school program, all of your generosity contributed to a part of the solution for economic barriers in accessing education.
Whilst he is no longer with us, his purpose and his work will continue to live on in Victoria.
We express our condolences to his family, the foundation, and to all those who knew him and were impacted by his work.
Vale Les Twentyman.
To help to continue his work a donation to the Les Twentyman foundation would be greatly appreciated. https://ltfoundation.com.au/donate/
Thank you,
Abigail and Isabella
