STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT

CONGRATULATIONS NIKO

Brighton Secondary College would like to congratulate Nikolai on becoming the State Champion in the 100m Breaststroke at the School Sport Victoria State Swimming Championships. This is an incredible achievement to put on the already very impressive resume.

Nikolai started competitive swimming around the age of 8 and has shone ever since on both the state level and national level.

Nikolai trains 9-10 times a week in the water and also finds time to do 2-3 gym sessions in his already busy school schedule. A recent club change to MLC Aquatic has seen his times come down significantly with his 400m IM improving from 5.03 to 4.55 and his 200m Breaststroke coming from 2.34 down to 2.26.

Now a part of Team Vic Nikolai has lofty goals for the future and hopes to further himself on the national scene now, especially after his very impressive 4th in the 200m breaststroke on the Gold Coast a few weeks ago at the National Championships.

We wish Nikolai all the best as he gets himself ready for other national meets later in the year.

Director of Sport
