Lions Club free books

The Twin Rivers Lions Club has a community service project called 123 READ 2 ME. The aim of this project is to promote a love of children's books, reading and literature among young children, especially disadvantaged children.

Having parents, teachers and carers reading to children (and vice versa) quickly builds children's language skills, forming a strong foundation for their educational development.

At the College Library, in the foyer, we have many pre-loved books mostly donated by the Lions Club that are free to a good home. Please come and select books to take home, and parents please take a few minutes each day to read these books to your children; and importantly allow children to read aloud themselves with family members listening.
