Friends of Northcote: Movie Night fundraiser 

Friends of Northcote are excited to announce our Term 2 community fundraising event- a Movie Night at Westgarth Cinema on Thursday 18 June at 6pm. 

Ticket sales via CompassTix. Ticket sales will close on Wednesday 17 June in order to confirm final numbers with the cinema. 

This year’s film is H for Hawk. From BAFTA Award-winning director Philippa Lowthorpe (Misbehaviour) H IS FOR HAWK is a deeply moving adaptation of Helen Macdonald’s award-winning memoir, starring Claire Foy (The Crown) and Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin). Following the sudden death of her father, Helen (Foy) retreats from the world, turning to the ancient and demanding practice of falconry in an attempt to navigate her loss. What starts as an act of endurance becomes a profound journey through grief, identity, and the fragile process of returning to the world.

Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase from the bar and it’s a good opportunity to meet other families at the school before we move into the film viewing. Each ticket sold will include a donation and the proceeds from the night will go to our Thrive fund. This comprises our Empower fund which helps students in need, our Build fund which enhances our school buildings, our Inspire fund that supports all Library activities, and our Innovate fund which funds student-led groups and projects.  

5.30pm arrival for an 6pm screening.
