Celebrating Student Achievements
Many students participate in state and national sports teams, including going on to study in the USA via scholarship for college sports in soccer and basketball, even competing in International E-Sports competitions!
Regularly we love to profile the amazing things our students do outside of school, from achievements and competitions they win, to just the general celebrations of the good work they do in the wider community.

Australian Youth Championships in Water Polo:
Hamish Baird (Y8), Fitzy Gurtler (Y8) and Raf Thomas (Y7) played water polo in the Australian Youth Championships in Brisbane over the Easter school holidays.
They did Northcote proud competing for five days at the Brisbane Aquatic Centre, a venue for the 2032 Olympics, in the under 14 boys’ age group.
The best players from clubs in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and even from as far as South Africa and the United States were in action for the tournament.
Hamish, Fitzy and Raf were in a team of Victorian and Queensland players coached at the event by former Northcote High School student Alex Crawford, who graduated a couple of years ago.
In the upcoming July school holidays, Raf Thomas, along with Alby Cairns (Y7) and Basti Fisher (Y7), will don the navy blue to represent Victoria after being selected for an under 13 squad heading to Hobart to compete in a national development tournament. Go Vics!
We look forward to seeing what other successes they can celebrate as they continue their water polo journey.
