Year 12 Market

On 2 May, our Year 12 students ran a stall at the Herbert Café Community Market to raise funds for a bushfire-affected community and the Year 12 Formal.

It was wonderful to see the generosity of NHS staff, students and families, who donated a wide range of items for the stall. Alongside the Year 12 Program Leaders, the Year 12 Captains worked hard to sort clothing, prepare publicity posters and distribute flyers throughout the neighbourhood. We also had a number of other Year 12 students involved in organising the Formal also helped set up the stall at the start of the day.

It was lovely to see students, both past and present, come along to support the fundraising effort. Many families also dropped by to pick up a plant, clothing item or a game or two, and we are very grateful for the community’s support.

So far, we have raised $426.15 for our bushfire relief efforts and around $250 for the Year 12 Formal.

As there are still many items available after the market, we will be running another fundraising event during Course Expo on 3 June. We will also hold a bake sale, with items baked by our Year 12 students, so families can enjoy a bite to eat before or after visiting the subject booths.

Please drop by and say hello to our Year 12 students, who will be volunteering their time at the stall.
