What a Busy (and Fun!) Few Weeks at Donvale Primary!

Donvale Primary School has had a wonderful few weeks filled with excitement and celebration. 

Last week, we proudly showcased our ‘Lights, Camera, Action’ Production. Our Grade 1/2 students shone brightly on stage with their Lion King performance. After weeks of rehearsing songs, dances, and lines, it was incredible to see all their hard work come together in such a memorable way. We couldn’t be prouder of their effort, energy, and confidence.

This week, we continued the fun with our Book Week Dress Up & Activity Day. The theme for this year was ‘Book an Adventure’, and our school was bursting with colour and creativity as students paraded in their amazing costumes during the morning’s whole-school parade.

Throughout the day, students rotated through three exciting activities, each based on one of the shortlisted CBCA Picture Books of the Year. They listened to stories, took part in hands-on activities, and worked with different teachers across the school. The day ended with a special Book Week assembly, where we announced the Best Dressed winners and celebrated the winners of our Book Week competitions.

It truly has been a fantastic fortnight of learning, creativity, and community spirit at Donvale!
