This fortnight has focused on students showing trust and respect to their friends and teachers.

These are some of the points students have explored, relating to these values:

  • Trust and respect helps friendships grow – When kids respect and trust each other, friendships feel stronger, happier, and last longer.

  • Builds teamwork – Respect makes it easier to work together, share ideas, and solve problems without fighting.

  • Shows kindness and care – Listening, being polite, and trusting friends or adults shows you VALUE/CARE about them.

  • Makes others feel safe – When kids treat friends and adults with respect, people feel comfortable being themselves.

  • Earns respect back – The more kids show trust and respect, the more they will get it in return.

  • Strengthens bonds with adults – Respecting teachers, parents, and carers helps kids learn better and feel supported.

  • Teaches fairness – Trusting others means giving them a chance to do the right thing, just like you’d want in return.

**In short: When kids show respect and trust, they make their friendships stronger, their classroom calmer, and their connections with adults positive.
