Hello Foundation Families!
This week in Writing, we adapted the tale of Humpty Dumpty to create our own version of the story. Students showed creativity by changing the solution, with Humpty Dumpty landing on trampolines, bouncy castles and swimming pools instead of breaking. It was wonderful to see students using openers to sequence the beginning, middle and end of their story and beginning to use adjectives to add additional detail and description.
In Maths we have been learning about position and location. We explored numerous key words to describe the position of objects and focused on giving our peers clear instructions. We then used our creativity to design our own treasure map and used our key word knowledge to describe where we hid the treasure.
This week in Guided Inquiry, we learnt about Coober Pedy. We went out into the sandpit to try to make our own underground houses. You can see some of our marvellous creatives in the photos below.

FE Assembly Presentation - Monday 1st September
Grandparents and Special Friends Day- Week 7
We have our Grandparents and Special Friends Day coming up on the 2nd of September at 9:30am
We encourage all grandparents able to attend, and if not, bring along a neighbour, friend or a parent. It's really special for our students to have someone present on the day.
We will engage in a book and activity and then will finish up our morning at 10:30.
Guided Inquiry Showcase- Week 9
For the conclusion of our unit. We are doing a showcase for our students to display their outcomes from "travelling" around Australia. We would love you to join us at 3:15 on September 16th. This will be hosted in the student's classrooms.
