Leadership Centre

Selamat siang, Parents!

With just one week to go until camp, excitement is building in the Leadership Centre! A quick reminder that the packing list is available on both Google Classroom and Compass. We also recommend keeping an eye on the weather forecast and adjusting packing accordingly!

In Mathematics this week, students have been diving into the world of BODMAS (Brackets, Orders, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction). They’ve been solving complex multi-step problems, creating their own challenges, and even testing each other’s thinking. It’s been wonderful to see such strong engagement and collaborative learning.

In English, we’ve continued exploring the rich language and storytelling techniques in our class novel, Tom Appleby – Convict Boy. We’ve also wrapped up our Information Reports, with a strong focus on writing to inform. Students worked hard to make their writing clear, direct, and appropriately formal, showing real maturity in their tone and vocabulary.

During Guided Inquiry, we are deep into our Australian History unit and preparing for our upcoming Showcase. Please keep an eye on Seesaw for our "Talk Homework" task. Students are asked to interview or research someone with a personal or historical connection to Australia. This could be a family member, a public figure, or anyone with a compelling story. They will bring this research back after camp in Week 8 to contribute to their final presentation.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We’re looking forward to another exciting week ahead!

Enjoy the week ahead,

The Leadership Centre Team
