Footy Colour's Day

We are excited to announce that Bridgewater Primary School will be holding a Footy Colours Day on Friday, 19th September 2025.

On this day, students are encouraged to wear the colours of their favourite footy team or any other sport of their choice. Students do not need a footy jumper and can just wear their chosen colours.

Throughout the day, students will participate in a variety of footy-related activities that promise to be fun and engaging for all.

We kindly invite students to bring a gold coin donation on the day.

All proceeds will go to the Fight Cancer Foundation, supporting their important work.

School Council

A reminder that we have a school council meeting next Wednesday 10th September. The meeting will start at 4.00pm

Repair Shed

On Wednesday, September 10th, students will be heading out with Miss Coffey and Maddi H to visit The Repair Shed. There, a wonderful group of volunteers will guide us in creating something unique from various odds and ends, as well as give us a behind-the-scenes look at how their Tool Library operates and the new items in their Tool & Equipment Libraries. To support this fantastic not-for-profit organisation—and to show our appreciation for their time and generosity—we’re asking each student to bring along a gold coin donation. This contribution is an important part of our visit and helps ensure experiences like this can continue.

Donations can be brought in before next Wednesday and given to your child’s classroom teacher for safekeeping.

Melbourne Cup Community Day

We had an excellent day at Bridgewater Recreation Reserve on Tuesday 2nd September to celebrate the Melbourne Cup visiting Bridgewater.

Thank you to BOLD and all of the volunteers that made it a fantastic day.

I know our students definitely enjoyed their free ice creams.

Father's Day

Thank you to everyone who attended our Father's Day breakfast! The students loved sharing a bacon and egg roll with their special guests and were very proud to give the tool box to their dad's/special friends.

Please remember to get lunch orders in to the school or the bakery by Thursday. This provides the bakery with enough time to make sure they have everything they need to fill the orders.

A Friendly Reminder about Photographing and Filming Students at School events

A Friendly Reminder About Photographing and Filming at School Events

With so many exciting events happening at our school lately, we know parents and families love capturing those special moments on camera! Whether it’s sporting days, performances, or other fun activities, it’s wonderful to see everyone celebrating together.

We do want to kindly remind everyone to be mindful when photographing or filming students — including your own children and others. While it’s great to keep memories, it’s important to respect the privacy of all students and families.

Here are a few simple tips to keep in mind:

  • Please focus photos and videos primarily on your own child.
  • Avoid sharing images or videos of other students on social media without permission.
  • Check in with the school if you’re unsure about any photography or filming guidelines.

Our school has policies in place to help protect everyone’s privacy and ensure events are safe and enjoyable for all. By following these friendly reminders, we can work together to create a positive environment where every family feels comfortable.

Thank you so much for your understanding and support — and keep enjoying all the wonderful moments ahead!
