PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Berry Street Training

Recently Mrs Cain and Mrs Connor completed their Berry Street Education Model (BSEM) Training in Canberra. BSEM coaches teachers on how to keep students engaged in learning and  support students who are struggling. It is based on Trauma-informed teaching practice that supports all students. Through evidence-informed strategies, educators gain the tools to meet diverse learning needs, enhance student engagement and self-regulation, and promote positive relationships, wellbeing, and academic achievement.

Crisis Prevention Institute Training

Last week Mrs Connor along with 7 other members of the Bathurst Dioceses  attended the Crisis Prevention Training to become facilitators. CPI is the leading provider of trauma-informed de-escalation training for educators and support staff. It makes a positive impact on all staff and their students by supporting social, emotional, and cognitive well-being, fostering a positive school culture and climate, and creating a safer learning space for everyone.
