Christmas Art Exhibition

Our Year 5 and 6 Christmas Art Exhibition was a fabulous event! Many parents and families came to look at the talents of our students. Father Greg, Father Duong and Mr Andrew Gee even came and wandered through the exhibition. A fabulous evening was had by all. A huge thank you to Mrs Nicole Worland, Mrs Helen Chegwidden and our Year 5 and 6 teachers for helping to prepare for this wonderful event!

These students and their artworks will attend an Exhibition in Bathurst in September. Their artworks will be judged against finalists from every Catholic Primary school in our Diocese. Congratulations to all students, especially these ten talented artists!

Confirmation Talk with Father Greg

Many of our Year 6 students will be making the Sacrament of Confirmation over the next three weekends in our local Parish Churches. Our Year 6 students have been very busy learning about this Sacrament and preparing to recieve it. We wish all of our Year 6 students making this Sacrament the very best. Congratulations!

As part of the preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation, Father Greg visited our Year 6 students to talk to them about the importance of making this Sacrament. It was a very informative talk and I was very impressed with the vast knowledge of our Year 6 students.

Our Year 6 students also attended a Retreat Day at James Sheahan based on the Sacrament of Confirmation. Here they heard from students from James Sheahan who had already made their Sacrament of Confirmation and what to expect during their Sacrament. Our Year 6 students were also able to chat and play with the Year 6 students from St. Marys School. All students returned to school with a smile on their faces.

Assumption Mass and Liturgy

Last week our school celebrated the Feast of The Assumption. Years 3-6 attended a beautiful Mass at James Sheahan and our Infants classes enjoyed a Liturgy in their classrooms. It was lovely to celebrate this Feast Day with our community.

Emmanuel Worship

Last week our Year 5 and 6 students and teachers attended a Praise and Worship Event organised by our CEDB in Blayney. Emmanuel Worship told the story of their faith journey through their amazing contemporary music. The children had a fabulous time and loved every minute!
