Boys Soccer State Finals

Boys Soccer is going to the Vic State Finals!

On the 14th of August, the soccer A boys team travelled to DISC in Thornbury for the northern metropolitan region play offs. The event was run extremely well, with all teams showing respect, fair play, and great sportsmanship. The competition was tough, but our team rose to the challenge and came out on top!

Everyone played their part and gave their best on the field. Our strikers, Xenofon, Milano and Aiden, were outstanding and Matteo was the hero of the day, scoring the winning penalty and saving us all by securing our spot in the grand final.

Our defence was like a brick wall, with Lucas B, Cooper, Brian, Alec and Marshall not letting anything slip through. In the midfield, Leon, Tom B and Luke were incredible, delivering perfect through balls to set up goals for our strikers.

The results spoke for themselves: a nail-biting 4–3 win on penalties, followed by a dominant 5–0 win, leading us to our final game, 5-1 which sent us through to STATE! Victory!

We will now be going back to DISC on the 3rd of September to play the best primary schools in the state! 

We are nervous yet excited for this amazing opportunity. No matter the result we are so proud of making it to this stage!
