Regional Netball

Congratulations to our netball team for making it to regionals! 

On Tuesday 19 August we travelled to the Diamond Valley Sports Centre to play our regional play off. 

It was a huge effort from all of our players and coach, Sarina. We had lots of fun playing some tough competition after blitzing through district and divisionals.

Our first match against Saint Anthony's was an unlucky loss. Our next matchup against Mary Mede was closer than the first, after some unlucky injuries to our team. It was a great game from both sides, sadly we ended up falling behind and then losing the match. 

All hope wasn’t lost as we ended up placing fifth in the northern regional netball competition defeating Pascoe Vale North in an incredibly fun final game.

It was truly a great experience reaching this level of sport. Everyone played to the best of their abilities and most of all had a good time whilst at it. We couldn’t have made it this far without the constant support of everyone back at school and parents at home going out of their way to watch us compete and take us to training. 

If we had to do it all over again, we wouldn’t want to have any other coach than Sarina, she always motivated us to play harder, even when the scoreboard wasn’t in our favour.
