Grade 6 Report

Grade 6 update!

It’s getting busy for the second last term of Grade 6!

We have been working hard on our Speaking and Listening projects, researching our chosen science topics and creating spectacular models to accompany our presentations. We are excited to share our work at the upcoming Science Expo in just two weeks!

The Grade 6 children are challenging themselves in maths, reading and writing. In maths, we have been exploring fractions and their relationship to decimals. We have practised multiplying fractions and dividing them!

In reading groups we have dived into our World War 2 novels. By reading them we have learnt a lot about the second war and what life was like at the time. We have also started reading and answering our probe texts!

In writing we are focusing on the structure of an information report. After lots of hard work we have finished our information report about light! We have just started researching about our science topic which we have picked. Lots is being learnt about animals, natural disasters, diseases, machines and much more!

Our book for literature is Bridge to Terabithia. Every literature session we find more and more about the characters. We wonder what will happen next in the story?

The countdown is officially on to our graduation! We are savouring our times at primary school and enjoyed the time we have left together!
