Year 7 News

Welcome to Semester 2 Year 7!

Our Year 7’s have made a wonderful start to their high school journey, aspiring to achieve and embracing the many opportunities for growth that Beverly Hills Girls High School provides. As student advisors, we are so proud of the commitment, enthusiasm, and resilience this cohort have shown as they continue to settle into high school life.

Our first semester ended on such a high note with our wonderful and vibrant Multicultural Day, where we came together to celebrate the rich diversity and beautiful cultures that make our school community so special. A huge shout out to our very own Zoha A, Fatmatu B, Maraia R, Yafita K, Harkiran K and Retaj M on their beautiful performances on the day.

Looking ahead, Term 3 brings exciting experiences, including our excursion to the Sydney Opera House to watch the Sydney Symphony Orchestra perform—an inspiring extension of the learning students have been doing in Music on the instruments of the orchestra.

Our Principal, Ms. Maria Iemma, encourages all students to “Be Somebody”, and it is inspiring to see Year 7 striving to be the best Somebody they can be. Through confidence, integrity, and compassion, they are showing what it means to embody our school motto: “Women Can Do Anything.”

As a new lot of assessments approach, we encourage students to attend school each day ready and eager to learn, striving to do their very best. We also look forward to meeting with families at the Parent Teacher Interviews at the end of Term 3 to celebrate and reflect on the progress and achievements of our wonderful Year 7 students.
