Student Awards will be presented at Assembly in Week 6

Foundation

  • Remy G (FBW) - ‘Be Your Best’ for the respectful behaviour you demonstrated during our visit to the church this week. It was wonderful to see you listening to Father Jackson and joining in with responses and songs throughout the Mass. Great work Remy!

  • Ruby K (FBW) - ‘Be Your Best’ for your enthusiasm to become an independent writer. It is wonderful to see that you are happy to ‘have a go’ at your own spelling and you are sitting your letters beautifully on the lines.  Well done Ruby, keep up the great work!

  • Koby F (FSC) - ‘Be Your Best’ for being an attentive listener on the floor and remembering some tricky digraphs to help Mrs Carter with modelled writing on the board.  Keep up the amazing work Koby! 

  • Ellie D (FSC) - ‘Help Others Succeed’ for making our new student, Eden, feel welcome at St Joseph’s.  Thank you for being a beautiful friend Ellie! 

Year 1 & 2

  • Hamish Mc (12CL) -'Be Your Best’ for a fantastic effort sharing his ideas during our class discussions.  Well done, Hamish!

  • Easton M (12ZH) - ‘Be Responsible’ for showing great care and respect during our excursion to the Australian Sports Museum.  Well done Easton!

  • Tom M (12ZH) - ‘Be Your Best’ for showing such interest during our excursion to the Australian Sports Museum.  You listened to adults and asked questions to learn more about the MCG and museum pieces.  Awesome work!

  • Boston M (12GM) - ‘Be Your Best’ for making remarkable improvement with your reading over the course of this year!  You decode brilliantly and this allows you to read fluently!  Great job Boston!

  • Lenny S (12GM) - ‘Be Responsible’ for being an exceptional leader within our classroom.  You always make strong choices and lead by example as a role model to others!  Great job Lenny!

 

Year 3 & 4

  • Mae R (34MH) - ‘Be Your Best’ for her excellent organisational skill, having everything she needs ready for each lesson.  Mae, your dedication to your learning and good use of class time is a wonderful model for your classmates.

  • Violet A (34MH) – ‘Be Your Best’ for her excellent work during our Daily Review tasks.  Violet, you record your work accurately and neatly, and you are always willing to share your ideas.  Keep up the wonderful work.

  • Henry D (34LB) - ‘Be Your Best’ for showing a positive attitude towards your learning this term.  Well done, Henry!

  • Ari C (34LB) - ‘Be Your Best’ for getting your work done on time and to a high standard.  Great effort, Ari!

  • Cameron K (34JM) – ‘Be Your Best’ for consistently staying on task in class and for working so hard to learn your times tables.  You are doing great things Cameron.  Well done!

  • London P (34JM) – ‘Be Responsible’ for persisting with difficult work, asking for help and making great improvements – especially in Maths.  London, I am very impressed with how you have been having a go at the tricky things.  Keep it up!

     

Year 5 & 6

  • Pippa S (56TD) - ‘Be Your Best’ for her effective note taking in class.  Pippa, you have taken effective notes whilst learning about the First Fleet, allowing you to write detailed paragraphs for your information report.  Well done, Pippa. 

  • Theo S (56TD) - ‘Be Your Best’ for his enthusiastic approach towards his maths.  It’s great to see you embrace a challenge and persevere to solve difficult problems.  Keep up the good work.

  • Ella C (56NW) - ‘Be Responsible’ for your consistency with your homework submissions.  Ella, you complete all tasks of your homework to a high standard.  Well done. 

  • Rachel M (56NW) - Be Your Best’ for your incredible work during our recent numeracy unit of ‘Angles’.  Rachel, you were able to accurately measure complementary and supplementary angles with great confidence.  Well done. 

  • Leo N (56EN) - ‘Help Others Succeed’ for his enthusiastic outlook and involvement in the class reading of Convict Boy.  Leo, you really enjoy these sessions and offer some great insights into the events and experiences of the main character.  Well done!

  • Jed W (56EN) - ‘Be Your Best’ for the way you have approached your writing tasks.  You have recognised the key facts and information that you need to write a very informative paragraph about the lives of the first convicts.  Thank you Jed!

 

Specialist

THE ARTS (F-2)

  • Ella H (12GM) – ‘Be Your Best’ for demonstrating the different elements of art in her artwork each week.  Ella, you are very creative and have shown a good understanding of concepts covered.  Well done!

  • Charlotte H (FBW) – ‘Be Your Best’ for having a go at all art activities and for seeking help when the task is a little tricky.  Well done, Charlotte!

  • Ellie D (FSC) - ‘Be Your Best’ for showing a positive attitude to all music and performing arts activities, and for being a brilliant team leader in group activities.  Amazing work, Ellie!

  • Tom M (12) – ‘Be Yor Best’ for sharing insightful and interesting music, drama and dance facts.  You always have a positive attitude during music classes. Keep up the great work, Tom.

 

STEAM (Yr 3-6)

  • Kayden B (56TD) – ‘Be Your Best’ for his positive attitude towards coding this term.  Kayden, you showed great enthusiasm in learning to code an online song and shared your work with your peers with such excitement.  Well done! 

  • Alexander E (34MH) - ‘Be Your Best’ for your fantastic attitude towards STEAM learning.  You have shown excellent coding skills this term and never give up when debugging an algorithm.  Keep up the great effort!

 

P.E. (Yr 3-6)

  • Cassidy T (56NW) - 'Be Your Best' for participating in PE with a positive attitude and working hard to improve your hockey skills.  Great effort Cass. 

  • Percy K (34MH) - 'Be your Best' for always working hard to improve your skills in PE and showing fantastic sportsmanship in games. Well done, Percy.

 

INDONESIAN (Yr 3-6)

  • Abbie H (56NW) – ‘Be Your Best’ for showing her abilities in speaking and writing in Indonesian.  Her pronunciations and writing are excellent.  She always completed her tasks on time.  Abbie is a quiet achiever.  Hebat sekali!

  • Theo S (56TD) – ‘Be Your Best’ for his competency in reading, writing, and speaking in Indonesian.  He is very capable and a great supporter in the class.  Baik sekali!

 

Happy Birthday
