Welcome back to Term 3. I hope you have had a lovely break and I am looking forward to a great term!
The library looked as old as time itself. I peeked inside the part with the books (I was shocked to learn that there were 2.5 million books). We were led into a different part of the library and told by Michelle (the person who was teaching us) that we would be going through a door. But not a normal door. It was a hidden door. In the classroom we were instructed to sit on a red mat. We looked at old photos of the gold rush era. We were told that in pairs we would dress up in olden day clothes and edit ourselves into the photos using an app called puppet pals. I partnered up with Millie. We picked some names and I chose Edgar while Millie chose Clara. It was lots of fun tracing and editing ourselves into the photos. We picked 3 photos, a bakery (that “Clara” owned), the mines (which “Edgar” was a miner) and our house. We also went to Hyde park to have lunch. Overall the excursion was fun and I rate it 5 stars.
