We are starting to see a change in the weather and happier students as they play in the sunshine. It is time to retrieve the hat ready to wear. The Sunsmart Policy recommends hats from mid-August to protect from UV rays. We will be starting the wearing hat messages in all of our forums with students.
We had very successful 3-Way Conferences yesterday with most of our students sharing confidently and reflecting on their learning to set new goals. It is a great life skill to be able to reflect and then set goals so well done to our students and the staff who prepared them so well. Thanks to the parents for attending and supporting your child through this process.
The Victorian teaching and learning model (VTLM)2.0 supports teachers and school leaders to:
This was promoted at our recent Principal conference and will support the work that we do to provide the best learning opportunities for all students. We have a couple of Year 4 students running a cereal donation initiative who want full boxes of cereal donated to give to a homeless shelter. We really encourage these students whose strong desire is to help others. This initiative will culminate with a Domino Run with the cereal in the gym. Please consider donating some cereal to this cause. It will finish at the end of next week.
The annual Parents and Caregivers Survey is now live and ready to be completed. We open this up to all families and would like each household to complete a survey. This gives the school and School Council guidance on what is going well and what could be improved into the future.

I have given the students a challenge to share with me their favourite recipe that they cook. I am wanting to create an APS student cookbook. So far I have three recipes so am appealing for more. Could you please support your child with sharing a recipe with me.
Thanks and enjoy your week
