SOW Staff decked out as Olympians!

New staff

Sarah MacDonald

Hi, my name is Sarah and I've been fortunate to work in both State and Independent schools for the past ten years and have also worked as a member of the GV Libraries around the Shepparton area. When I'm not teaching, I dabble in writing and love reading science fiction and non-fiction books, being out in the garden and going to markets, museums and catching up with friends. I am looking forward to be joining the St Anne's community on a part time basis as a SOW Italian teacher where I can combine my interests in language and culture.

Appreciating our amazing leader

On August 2, we celebrated 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘆.

We want to sincerely thank our amazing principal for her dedication to our students, staff, and community. Sue, we appreciate everything you do to make our school the best it can be. We are grateful for your continued support and encouragement.

Happy Principal Appreciation Day from all students and staff at St Anne's College!

Congrats Sophie!

On Saturday, our wonderful SOW Learning Mentor, Sophie Sidebottom played her 300th club game for the Congupna Football Netball Club!

Starting in 2007, Sophie has played 156 Junior and 143 senior games. Her dedication to her club goes beyond the court – Throughout the years Sophie has held numerous roles. This year alone, Soph is A Grade co-coach, netball umpire, club trainer, founder of the Learn to Play program and a committed committee member. Thanks goes to Soph for her incredible years of service both on and off the court.

Our very own Visual Arts Learning Mentor Mark Almond is one of 23 local artists to be featured at an upcoming exhibition to be held at Shepparton Brewery. The exhibition will feature artists who appear in McPherson Media Group's new publication Heart the Art - a magazine showcasing the diverse array of local talent, often serving as the heartbeat of our community.

The exhibition will run from 11:30am to 2.30pm on Friday 16 August which is the same day the magazine will be available to the public. If you get a chance, go and check out Mark's amazing work along with some other fantastic local talent.

The event is free to attend and everyone is welcome.

Thanks Mary!

It wasn't just our educators who got into the spirit of the touch of green and gold day!

Our friendly cleaner Mary who is a very familiar face around the school grounds made sure to get in the spirit of the day.

Thanks for putting a smile on our faces and brightening everyone's day Mary!
