ENPS School News

Introducing David Foley and Tandy Johnson

Principal News - Term 3 Week 3

This week we had 50 students represent the school at the District Athletics.  It is wonderful to provide the opportunity for children to excel in sporting activities and work collectively as a team to represent the school.  Our students proudly represented the school in athletics and outstanding conduct. They competed enthusiastically and upheld all of our school CARE values which is equally as important.  Of this group, 30 students gain access to the next level of competition called ‘division level’.  The timing of these events links beautifully with the Paris Olympics !

Our school walkathon was a fun event this morning even though it was 4 degrees when we started! Classes prepared banners, songs, and chants.  They walked from the oval along the Diamond Creek Trail up to the first bridge which is past the soccer ground. It is amazing to observe the huge effort each class make to enjoy this experience.  We are very grateful to all the parent helpers that made this event possible. Thank you to those who lined the track to guide students and those who had the hand freezing job of handing out zooper doopers to the students as they crossed the finish line.

Thank you to the PFA for organising this event.  Sponsorship is part of this event and we thank parents for supporting your children to gather donations for the school.  We have some prizes and certificates for classes.  A lucky class will win a special BBQ lunch with Mr Foley and Tandy at the Eltham North Adventure Playground.  These awards will be announced at next week’s assembly.
