Student Principal for the Day - Friday 2nd August

We had an overwhelming response to our "Student Principal for a Day" competition! The creativity and thoughtfulness in the entries has made choosing a winner a tough task. We'll announce the lucky candidate on Wednesday, giving them a couple of days to prepare for their big day this Friday.

Our students came up with a wide range of fantastic ideas for their day as principal, including:

  • Massage chairs for all teachers (sounds relaxing!)
  • A waterslide to reach the gym (a fun way to get to PE!)
  • Longer break times
  • A wider variety of lunchtime clubs
  • Helping get balls off the roof
  • Watching CCTV (keeping an eye on things!)
  • Playing cricket
  • Free lunch orders (always a hit!)
  • Helping out around the school
  • Demonstrating and modelling the school values
  • Speaking at assembly and making announcements

And many more exciting and imaginative suggestions! Stay tuned for the announcement and get ready to celebrate a fun-filled day led by our student principal this Friday! Thank you to all the students who participated and shared their wonderful ideas.

School Disco - Friday 26 July

Last Friday's school disco was a fantastic success! The dance floor was buzzing with energy, and it was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the music and having fun. A big thank you to all the students, staff, and parents who helped make the evening special.

Disco Clearance

There is a limited amount of left over snacks from the disco that we will be selling this Friday at lunch time.  Items are $2:00 each and limited to one per person.

Playtime Olympics

Over the next couple of weeks, our Year six sports leaders will be organising some "Playtime Olympics" activities. We started on Monday with table tennis, today was bat tennis and the enthusiasm was strong. Who knows, we might even spot a future Olympian for Brisbane 2032 among our talented students! It's a great opportunity for everyone to get active, have fun, and enjoy some friendly competition. Stay tuned for more exciting events over the coming fortnight.

Bunjil Awards

Congratulations to the following students who received a Specialist Bunjil Award at last week’s assembly.

Bunjil awards recognise student achievement and those who display our school values of being respectful, responsible and kind.

Well done! All of our recipients enjoyed a hot chocolate or zooper dooper with a principal.
