Ulster Road lane closure – Stage Two
Our authorised contractor, DM Civil, are progressing well in their work to replace a wastewater pipeline under Ulster Road. This pipeline is an important part of Albany's wastewater network and the work will reduce future leaks and breaks.
In updated information, next week (likely Tuesday 30 and Wednesday 31 July) the Hardie Road and Ulster Road intersection will be closed while the next pipeline length is prepared and pulled in underground. You will still be able to travel along Ulster Road in the open lane – just not turn in / out of Hardie Road.
What to expect in Stage Two:
- A single lane will be closed from the Lower King Road/Ulster Road intersection to Martin Road.
- The northbound lane from North Road to Lower King/Bayonet Head will remain open, however will have reduced speed limits.
- A detour along Collingwood Road and Angove Road will be in place to reduce traffic around the schools and hospital.
- Signage will be in place to show access to the Hospital and Health Campus.
- Access to properties and businesses will be maintained.

Thank you for your patience while we complete this essential pipeline replacement - together we're shaping WA's water future.
