The mornings are frosty and the days are getting longer. We are nearly half way through Term 3 and this means we are edging closer to warmer weather. Please ensure students dress to conditions to avoid sickness and feeling unwell.
Year 10 students had their subject selection day on the 7th of August where they were career counselled to ensure they chose a pathway that they could succeed in with the support of the school. Thank you to the staff the put in the work to make this day achievable.
Whole school subject selection will see all students pick their subject and start to pave their pathway through school. Please ensure that parents and students are reading SEQTA messages as well as have look at the subject selection book prior to the night. All students have been given one in form group. Students are reminded to ensure they have completed their career action plan prior to the night. This is something that will need to be completed before subjects can be put in.
Students are reminded about uniform. Hoodies are not to be warn under the shirts or jackets. Please refrain from wearing these or consequences will follow. If students and families are in need we at Horsham College will do whatever we can to support. Another reminder of navy blue or white undershirts are the only colours to be worn.
Our Koorie students participated in a Koorie event at the showgrounds showcasing the career pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander students and aims to support the career and pathways choices for young people.
